POST-GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN PERSON CENTRED SUPERVISION

Update June 2010

Regretfully we have decided to withdraw the supervision course as the number of applications have remained low, however we will continue to look at the core structure and other marketing strategies and will keep you informed about future developments.

This is an innovative and stimulating course suitable for experienced counsellors and psychotherapists. The course aims to provide professional counsellors and psychotherapists with the opportunity to identify and develop their skills and knowledge, in order to become competent and reflective supervisors. It is designed to support applications for accreditation as a Supervisor of Individuals and/or Groups of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

The facilitators will work with participants to co-create a course tailored to meet the demands of supervised practice in the diversity of settings where supervision may be required.

The course also aims to facilitate a creative and developmental approach to Person-Centred Supervision, drawing on its classical foundations while continuing to be informed and challenged by new ways of thinking and on-going research.

Each weekend will provide the opportunity to engage in and benefit from:

  • Tutor, peer and self assessment

The facilitators are committed to the self directed learning philosophy of The Persona Training. Our hope is that we can create a community of learning and development in which each member has the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. In order for this to happen we feel that the following commitments are important.

  • Willingness to meet and work at relational depth.
  • Full attendance at each of the weekends
  • Participation in small study group meetings ( 4 hours every 2 months)
  • Time for personal study, reflection, reading, journaling, and research
